As a Parish Council, Cawston Parish Council is a consultee for any planning applications that are submitted within the Cawston Parish Boundary. The Council are also consulted on any major applications made which may border with the parish and/or may affect the parish in some way.
As a consultee, The Parish Council are asked to comment on any application submitted to the Planning Authority, which is Rugby Borough Council. Any application received is circulated to all parish councillors who then have the opportunity to make a comment. A councillor may support the application, may object to the application and give a reason for the objection/s, or may have no comment to make. All comments are then collated and submitted back to Rugby Borough Council. Any comments made are a matter of public record.
Due to the strict deadlines imposed by the planning authority, it will not always be possible to discuss planning applications at every meeting. However, there will be a summary of any comments made between meetings.
If you would like to make a representation with regard to a planning matter which you would like Cawston Parish Council to take into consideration, please see the detail below.
