The Great Cawston Switch On 2020
As we all know, current restrictions mean that holding our annual celebration of Christmas around the Cawston Tree will not be possible this year. Whilst this is a huge shame, it does not mean that Christmas is cancelled!
Instead, Cawston Parish Council invite you to light up Cawston. If you would like to join in; simply decorate your home, garage or garden however you would like. Then turn your display on at some point during the weekend of 5/6th December.
The Cawston Christmas Tree will be switched on that weekend too.
We are hoping that as long as he is not having to self-isolate, Father Christmas will pay us a visit that weekend too (courtesy of Rugby Rokeby Lions)
We invite you to take a socially distanced tour around the estate over the following few weeks to take a look at all the decorations. Please ensure that you stick to any government guidance prevailing during that time – stay 2m apart from other households, avoid crowds etc.
During the run up to the big day itself, some Cawston Parish Councillors will also take a look around at all the displays and choose 3 participants to win a prize. Winners will be announced on Christmas Eve via the CPC Facebook Page.
We hope you will enjoy seeing Cawston in all its festive glory and we thank you all for joining in and sharing in the Christmas joy we will create together.
